Artiste français basé en Europe, il explore les frontières entre sculpture et broderie en volume, développant une démarche artistique singulière qui fusionne tradition et innovation.
Diplômé des métiers d’Art, il commence sa carrière comme costumier à l’Opéra Bastille à Paris, tout en continuant d’explorer la sculpture et le dessin sous toutes ses formes. Il se forme également à la broderie d’or, enrichissant ainsi son répertoire technique.
Dans ses œuvres, Axel MOREL transcende les techniques conventionnelles de la sculpture et du dessin en intégrant la broderie dans des structures tridimensionnelles, qu'elles soient figuratives ou abstraites.
Cette approche novatrice donne naissance à des pièces où le fil, traditionnellement associé à la surface, s'étend et s'élève, créant des formes organiques et dynamiques singulières et émouvantes.

As a french artist based in Europe, he explores the boundaries between sculpture and volume embroidery, developing a singular artistic approach that fuses tradition and innovation.
Graduated of "Métiers d'Art", he began his career as a costume designer at the Opéra Bastille in Paris, while continuing to explore sculpture in all its forms. He also trained in gold embroidery, adding to his technical repertoire.
In his work, Axel MOREL transcends conventional sculptural techniques by integrating embroidery into three-dimensional structures, whether figurative or abstract. This innovative approach gives rise to pieces in which the thread, traditionally associated with the surface, extends and rises, creating singular and moving organic and dynamic forms.
